You may not of heard of Marcus Bicknell but you will have heard of the companies and products that he has set up, managed, or promoted. Once manager of rock supergroup Genesis he also set up A&M’s European division and grew the business 10 fold in just 7 years. He was also responsible for the launch of the VideoPlus instant video programmer and as Commercial Director for Societe Europeenes des Satellites he delivered satellite TV into the households of Europe with the launch of ASTRA in 1988. As Managing Director of European Channel Management Ltd., which was a joint venture of BBC Worldwide, Pearson television and Cox of Atlanta he was responsible for the distribution of the television channels BBC Worldwide and BBC Prime into continental Europe. Marcus is now European President of CMGI. Who are they I hear you ask!
