Per Lindstrand
This man’s balloon of success won’t burst for sure. Born in Sweden Per Lindstrand started his career as an Engineering Officer in the Swedish Armed Forces and after having gained a masters degree in aeronautical engineering he moved to Saab and then Lockheed. He started ballooning as a hobby but then realised that there was a huge market opportunity his hobby and his skills could fill. Per moved to England and it was here that Colt Balloons was born. Per went on to win all the major balloon records with his cutting edge technology. In 1991 Per launched Lindstrand Balloons Ltd. to manufacture hot air balloons, airships and gas balloons. Per has got a lot of tales to tell and vital lessons to pass on from his experiences.
